1 tablespoon olive oil 1 onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1 sweet red pepper, coarsely chopped 1 pinch hot pepper flakes 1 can 19 oz. italian spice stewed 1 tomatoes 2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper 4 italian sausages ( 1 lb) 4 crusty italian rolls 4 lettuce leaves 4 teaspoon freshly grated parmesan cheese |
In heavy saucepan, heat oil over medium heat; cook onion and garlic, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until softened. Add red pepper and hot pepper flakes; cook for 2 minutes. |
