Beef Brisket |
3 1/2 - 4 lb beef brisket; trimmed 1/2 c Water 1/4 c Soy sauce 1/4 ts Black pepper 1/4 c Chopped onion 1 Green bell pepper; sliced 1/2 c Raisins 2 tb Brown sugar 20 oz Can unsweetened apple slices -- drained |
Place brisket in large pot or baking pan. Add water, soy sauce and pepper. Cover and simmer 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Add onion, green pepper, raisins, brown sugar and apple slices. Simmer 30 - 40 minutes more. Remove brisket and slice. Serve, covered with pan juices. |
