Spicy Malaysian-Style Beef |
1 pound lean round steak -- trimmed, and cut in 1 1/2" pieces 1 onion -- chopped 1 garlic clove -- finely chopped 1 tablespoon finely-chopped jalapeño pepper 1 tablespoon prepared mustard 1 tablespoon light soy sauce 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring 1 teaspoon ground coriander 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin |
Combine ingredients in a crockpot and stir well. Cover and cook at LOW setting until meat is very tender -- about 12 to 18 hours. Serve with brown rice and steamed vegetables, if desired. |
