Lamb Shanks, Sausages And Beans |
2 onions -- chopped 3 tablespoons butter 1 pound small white beans -- soaked overnight, and drained 3 lamb shanks 4 carrots -- sliced Salt -- to taste Freshly-ground black pepper -- to taste 1 bay leaf 4 garlic sausages -- sliced 1/2" thick |
Place beans in bottom of crock pot and add remaining ingredients except sausages, with 1 1/2 quarts water. Cover and cook on HIGH 2 hours, then on LOW 10 to 12 hours. Add sausages, cover and cook on high 30 minutes. |
