Bacon and Cheese Muffins |
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese 2 tablespoons sugar 10 slices bacon -- cooked and crumbled 1 large egg -- slightly beaten 3/4 cup milk 1/3 cup vegetable oil |
Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture. Combine egg, milk, and oil; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon batter into well greased muffin pans, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 22 minutes or until golden. Remove from pans immediately. |
