Champagne punch
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup brandy
1 bottle (4/5 quart) Chablis, chilled
1 bottle (28 ounces) carbonated water, chilled
1 bottle (4/5 quart) champagne, chilled
Ice cubes
Peel from 1 lemon, cut in continuous strip

Mix corn syrup and brandy in punch bowl until well blended; stir in Chablis. Just before serving, add carbonated water and champagne. Carefully add ice cubes and lemon peel.
