Southern Cornbread
1/4 cup veg oil.
2 cups white cornmeal
2 TBS flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups Buttermilk
1 egg

Stir together dry ingredients. set aside. Combine egg and buttermilk beat slightly. Add to dry ingredients. Pour into greases dish and Bake at 450* for 20 to 25 minutes until golden on top. Cut into squares or wedges. Serve warm with plenty of butter.
