Baked Finnan Haddie |
1/4 cup butter 2 tablespoon flour 2 cup milk salt and pepper 2 lb finnan haddie* 1/2 cup bread crumbs 3 tablespoon butter; melted 1 lemon slices 1 parsley |
*Finnan Haddie is smoked Haddock. Cover and simmer very gently for half an hour, basting as necessary. Sprinkle with bread crumbs which have been mixed with the melted butter. Bake in a hot oven for 15 minutes. Remove it to a hot platter and garnish with parsley and lemon. |
