Vegetable & Ground Beef Soup |
1 Lb Ground beef- scrambled 1 Med onion diced 1/2 Head chopped green cabbage 3 Cups water -- (more or less) Add all of aboe together and boil until cabbage is tender. Add: 2 lbs diced tomatoes 1 8 oz can tomato sauce 1 TBS Worchestershire sauce 1 pinch (1/8 tsp) ground oregano 1/2 tso crushed sweet basil 1/4 tsp black pepper 2 stalks celery- diced Boil 25 minutes Add: 1 large baked potato- diced 1 pint green beans- drained 1 pint corn drained 1 can carrotts- drained 1/4 cup pearl barley |
Add water till you have 2 inches of water above the solid part of soup. Bring to a boil and then turn heat down and simmer about 30 minutes. Check to make sure the pearl barley is cooked. |
